What a software project costs

Real ranges, not “starting at €99”. You get the exact figure after a 20–30 minute conversation, but this page tells you upfront whether we fit your budget.

Most companies in this field publish nothing, and the first answer to “how much” is “it depends”. It does depend — but not anywhere between €200 and €50,000. A brochure site has one range, a stock-management system has another, and the difference between the bottom and the top of a range can be explained in a few sentences. Those explanations are below.

The ranges cover our work: analysis, implementation, testing, going live and handing over the code. They exclude third-party services you pay for directly — domain, payment processor, SMS, the consumption of an AI model — because those don’t go through us and we don’t want to mark them up.

The three most frequent requests

For each one: who it fits, what the price covers and how long it takes.

Brochure website

€200 – €2,500

A company that needs to be found and to look credible.

  • 5–10 pages, structured around what your customers search for
  • a design of your own, not a bought template
  • technical SEO and copy written for search
  • a form, or direct contact over WhatsApp and email
  • an admin panel, if you want to make changes yourself

2–4 weeks

The bottom of the range: a simple site of a few pages, built on a structure we already have. The top: multilingual, 15+ pages, animation, integration with an existing system.

Online store

€2,000 – €7,000

You sell products and you want order handling to stop eating your day.

  • catalogue, cart, checkout, customer accounts
  • online and cash-on-delivery payment, courier integration
  • automatic invoicing and e-Factura
  • product import from a file or from your current system
  • sales and stock reports

4–8 weeks

The top of the range: thousands of products, per-customer pricing, ERP synchronisation.

Details

Custom web application

€500 – €15,000

You work in Excel or in an old system and it slows you down daily.

  • analysis of how you actually work, not a feature list
  • users, roles and access rights
  • reports and Excel export
  • migration of your existing data
  • documentation and handover, so you can change vendor

6–14 weeks

The bottom of the range: a single workflow, a few screens, one type of user. The top: several departments, ERP or accounting integrations, many concurrent users.

What it costs monthly, after launch

A website without hosting doesn’t exist, and one without updates becomes a security problem within months. We’d rather you see those figures from the start.

Service Range What it covers
Hosting and monitoring€10 – €60/monthServer, HTTPS certificate, verified automatic backups, alerts when something goes down.
Maintenance€50 – €200/monthSecurity updates, backup verification, small changes included.
Changes on request€25 – €45/hourFor those who don’t want a retainer. Estimated first, invoiced after.

Maintenance is not mandatory: if you have an IT person or another vendor, you get the credentials and the documentation and you manage without us. Hosting can sit with another provider too.

What moves you to the bottom or the top of a range

How many screens and how many roles

Three screens and a single type of user is different work from twenty screens with separate rights for sales, the warehouse and accounting. The number of roles raises the price more than the number of pages does.

Integrations with what you already run

An isolated application is simple. One that has to talk to your ERP, your accounting software, the couriers or the tax authority costs more — not because of our code, but because of missing documentation and testing on the other system’s side.

Migrating the old data

Coming from a clean system, it moves in a few days. Coming from twenty Excel files filled in differently by four people, cleaning them can be the longest part of the project. We look at them before quoting.

Design from scratch or adapted

A bespoke design with its own visual identity costs more than a clean interface built on existing components. For an internal system the second is usually the right call — the money is better spent on functionality.

The deadline

A normal deadline costs a normal amount. “I need it in two weeks” means evenings and weekends, and that shows up in the price. We say plainly when a deadline isn’t realistic instead of accepting it and delivering badly.

Who maintains it after launch

If you take over maintenance, we need fuller documentation and more thorough tests — slightly more upfront, less over time. It’s a legitimate choice and we support it rather than discourage it.

What isn’t charged separately

  • The first conversation, 20–30 minutes, in person or by phone.
  • The written estimate, with budget and timeline, once we understand what you want.
  • The code, the database, the documentation and every credential — yours from day one.
  • A second opinion on a quote you received from someone else, if you want to understand it better.
  • Telling you when a project isn’t worth doing, or can be solved more cheaply another way.

How payment works

A fixed price for a defined scope

After the conversation you get a quote stating what the price covers, what it doesn’t and how long it takes. As long as the scope doesn’t change, the price doesn’t change.

50% upfront, 50% on delivery

The advance is paid once you accept the quote, the rest on working delivery. No intermediate payments to keep track of.

Whatever comes up along the way, by the hour

If you ask for new features mid-project, we estimate them separately and you decide whether they go in now or in the next stage. No surprises on the final invoice.

Third-party services, paid directly

The domain, the payment processor, SMS, an AI model’s usage — you pay those directly, in your own name. We add no commission and you stay the owner of the accounts.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a brochure website cost?

Between €200 and €2,500, depending on how many pages it has, whether you want a design of your own and whether you want it in several languages. At the bottom of the range, a simple site of a few pages, built on a structure we already have. At the top, a 5–10 page site with its own design, technical SEO and copy written for what your customers actually search for — that is where the difference shows in how many people find you.

Why publish ranges instead of a fixed price?

Because a fixed published price would either be uselessly high, to cover every case, or bait that gets corrected in the quote. The range tells you honestly what order of magnitude you’re in, and the section on what moves the price tells you why you’d be at one end or the other. The price becomes fixed in the quote, once we know what we’re building.

How do we get from a range to an exact price?

A 20–30 minute conversation in which you tell us what you do now and what gets in the way. If it’s clear, you get the estimate within 2–3 working days. If it’s complex, we first propose a small paid analysis stage that produces a specification — and you can take that specification to other vendors too, it’s yours.

What’s the smallest project you take on?

A small integration or change, about a day’s work, from roughly €200. Below that we’re not the right choice: analysis, testing and handover take up proportionally too much, and you’d be paying for rigour a one-hour job doesn’t need. We say so in the first conversation.

How much are hosting and maintenance per month?

Hosting and monitoring, €10–€60 per month depending on traffic and the resources needed. Maintenance, €50–€200 per month, covering security updates, backup verification and small changes. Neither is mandatory with us: you get the credentials and you can move everything to another provider.

Can I come with a fixed budget and see what fits in it?

Yes, and it’s often the most efficient conversation. You tell us the budget, we tell you what can be done properly within it and what should wait for a second stage. We’d rather deliver the part that solves your most expensive problem first than deliver everything half-built.

Next step

Tell us what you want to build and get an estimate

Two or three sentences about what you need is enough to start. We’ll come back with the questions that matter and a tighter range than the ones on this page.

The first conversation is free and doesn’t turn into follow-up pressure.
